More about the academy’s learning opportunities
The Virtual Academy of Sustainability supports universities in providing education for sustainable development (ESD). It offers a broad selection of online classes on sustainability by renowned university lecturers. Universities can integrate these into general studies, elective areas, certificate programmes and compulsory modules, or use them to complement their own teaching through blended learning. All of the academy’s ESD learning materials are OER. Since its foundation in 2011, numerous universities have used the academy’s learning resources, enabling more than 25,000 students to participate in ESD teaching.
