Further Reading Theories
For your background, you can grab a book on sociology and/or basic theories or social sciences; this should give you an overview and talk more about different approaches & paradigms; for science theory in general, it seems to make sense to check Thomas Kuhn. Also, for media and communication theories, a few examples:
- Littlejohn, S. W., & Foss, K. A. (Eds.). (2009). Encyclopedia of communication theory (Vol. 1). Sage.
- Griffin, E. M. (2006). A first look at communication theory. McGraw-hill.
And a more recent perspective:
- Deuze, M. (2021). Challenges and Opportunities for the Future of Media and Mass Communication Theory and Research: Positionality, Integrative Research, and Public Scholarship. Central European journal of communication, 14(28), 5-26.
