Lection 3
Narratives & Storytelling
The third lecture in this chapter introduces the concepts of
sensemaking, stories, and narratives, emphasizing their significance in
communication. It highlights how storytelling is used to create mental
maps of our world, facilitating decision-making, especially in
unfamiliar situations, as we depend on stories to shape our beliefs,
evaluate their credibility, and simulate potential outcomes before
taking action. Additionally, it explores the relevance of storytelling
within the context of sustainability.
